A Web Quest: Back to Hevron

by Rabbi Shmuel Jablon

INTRODUCTION:

A new group, "Jewish Students for Israel," has hired you to develop a new presentation, designed to educate American Jewish students as to whether Hevron is important to the Jewish People-- even after the time of the Bible.

In order to do this, you will need to learn as much as you can about post-Biblical Hevron.  You will need to think about its importance to the Jewish People today.  You will then be able to develop an original presentation.

TASK:

In this WebQuest you will need to learn as much as you can about the history of the City of Hevron (in English: Hebron). You will then need to consider whether Hevron is important to the Jewish People today. Finally, you will then develop a creative, original presentation to prove your case to a group of Jewish students living in America.

Finally, you will then develop a creative, original presentation to prove your case.
